Upon referral from identifying agency, clients will be assessed using an OCFS approved assessment tool by a special education consultant or a BCBA. Clients may have a variety of disabilities and/or diagnoses such as Autism, ODD, ADHD, Down's Syndrome, and more. Clients range from 0-21 years of age.
A plan of care will be written for the client based on this assessment as well as the needs, resources, and wants of the family.
A Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) will be matched with the client. The BHP will provide one-on-one direct care and teaching. The BHP will also provide coaching to the parent based on parent needs and current plan goals with the client. All services are under direct and indirect supervision by a special education consultant or a BCBA. BHPs are fully trained and also have CPR and First Aid as well as ABA instruction.
Daily data collection will guide client plans and quarterly progress evaluations will assist with revising goals.
Weekly BHP and supervisor meetings will ensure adequate progress and trainings are maintained.
Family participation is key to client improvement. Families are required to participate at least once weekly by engaging in direct play and instruction or by accepting coaching from staff members.
